Publishing policy
Judgments and tribunal decisions are public records published in support of open justice.
Source of the text
Find Case Law publishes the authoritative text approved through the judicial publication route. It does not rewrite judicial reasons or create a substitute judgment from a press summary, hearing note or administrative record.
Restrictions and personal information
Publication must respect any lawful anonymity order, privacy order, reporting restriction, redaction or other judicial restriction. The court or tribunal remains responsible for the judicial decision and any restriction attached to it.
Preservation
The National Archives preserves the judicial record received for publication and provides stable public access to the published copy.
